Pulmonary ArteryThe pulmonary artery carries oxygen-depleted blood from the right side of the heart to the lungs, where it is re-oxygenated. The freshly oxygenated blood then travels to the left side of the heart through the pulmonary vein to be pumped to the rest of the body. Current as of:
