Delaying Pegfilgrastim Administration Reduces Bone Pain in Patients with Breast Cancer Undergoing Chemotherapy

A randomized clinical trial found that administering pegfilgrastim, a drug that treats neutropenia caused by cancer medicines, 72 hours after chemotherapy sharply reduces pegfilgrastim-induced bone pain (PIBP) in breast cancer patients without increasing the risk of dangerous infections.
